Who I am

Hi, I’m Tristan — the trainer behind Mutts & Manners K9 Training.

I work with dogs of all ages, breeds, and backgrounds, helping them build real-world skills that actually matter in everyday life. My approach is centered around structure, consistency, and clear communication — not quick fixes or one-size-fits-all programs.

I work with a wide range of dogs — from puppies learning the basics to dogs struggling with reactivity, fear, or more complex behavioral challenges — and help owners build reliability with their dogs, both on and off leash.

I’m especially passionate about helping dogs and their owners navigate challenges like leash manners, recall, impulse control, and confidence in public spaces. I believe training should be practical, fair, and tailored to the individual dog in front of me — because no two dogs (or households) are the same.

What I love most about this work is strengthening the relationship between dogs and their people. Training isn’t just about teaching commands — it’s about creating understanding, trust, and a lifestyle that works for both ends of the leash.

Whether you’re starting fresh with a puppy or working through long-standing habits with an adult dog, my goal is to help you feel confident, supported, and proud of the progress you and your dog are making together.
